American actor Allison Brooks Janney was born November 19, 1959. Her work on the screen as well as on stage have received praise over the span of her 3-decade career. Janney was honored with many awards including the Academy Award and British Academy Film Award. The actress also won seven Primetime Emmy Awards. There were also nominations to win the two Tony Awards. Janney came from Boston and raised near Dayton the city of Dayton in Ohio. When she graduated from Kenyon College, she received an all-inclusive scholarship to The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Janney was first seen on TV during 1999. She was C. J. Cregg on NBC's political program The West Wing from 1999-2006 and was awarded the award for four Primetime Emmy Awards. Janney got her Primetime Emmy Award in 2014 for Outstanding actresses in Drama Series. She won this award for her role as Margaret Scully in Showtime's drama Masters of Sex. Janney was awarded two Outstanding Supporting Actress Awards for Comedy and was also recognized six times in the Primetime Emmy Awards.
